Random Map Generation

I love cartography, simulation of complex systems and 4X grand strategy games. This is the perfect coktail of motivation to develop a 4X game of my own and implement a complex, realistic and interesting random map generator. In addition to the generation, I'm also interested in simulating geophysics and meteorology, as well as working on how to render the map.
